Yael is the Australian resident of New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. At a very young age, Yael has been lucky enough to work with the best storytellers in Australia, brilliant stars of the stage and visionaries behind the scenes in film as well as theatre and television. Yael's professional career is thriving in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael decided to make New York City her home after she was a part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically-acclaimed production. Yael was co-founder at The Cannery. Based situated in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the business supports the development of new writing as well as imaginative, inventive ventures.
